The best liquor shop near Amsterdam Centraal (without tourist prices)

Step out of Amsterdam Central Station and you're surrounded by shops that know exactly one thing about you: you're a visitor, and you'll probably pay whatever's on the label. Drinks near the station can carry a steep "tourist tax." It doesn't have to be that way.

Slijterij United Liquors sits at Hekelveld 4, about a two-minute walk from Centraal — close enough to be convenient, far enough to be priced fairly. Locals and visitors shop here for the same reason: a big selection, honest prices, and someone behind the counter who'll actually point you to the right bottle.

We're open every day, 11:00–22:00 — including weekends and holidays. Late enough for a last-minute bottle on the way to dinner, early enough for an afternoon pick-up.

What "no tourist prices" actually means

It's simple: everything is price-labelled, and the price is the price — the same one a local pays. No marked-up minibottles, no mystery surcharge for asking a question. We'd rather you come back than overpay once.
